Zoho Training That Sticks: Formats That Actually Work
A team that has forgotten the system two weeks after training is not a slow team. The format was wrong.
Train by role, not by app
Sales does not need to know how to build a financial report. Train people on their job: what they do daily, weekly and monthly in the system. The material halves and retention multiplies.
Short sessions, real data
Two sixty-minute sessions beat one three-hour session. Use your own company data, not examples. People remember flows they recognise.
Train while doing real work
Ask participants to do their actual work during the session: enter today's leads, build a quote that is genuinely needed. Training that leaves work finished is valued far more.
Compact support material
One page per role with the five most-used steps, and two- to three-minute screen recordings per task. A forty-page manual is almost never opened.
Repeat in the second week
The second session, after the team has tried it alone, is the most useful one, because the questions have become real and specific.
Build internal trainers
Pick one or two people per team as the first point of reference. They answer daily questions faster than any vendor, and they are still there after the project ends. See training and support.
Do not forget new joiners
Make a short onboarding pack so someone joining six months later does not learn from a colleague whose habits have drifted.
