MVP development for startups, built low-code

An MVP (minimum viable product) is the smallest version of a product that is enough to test your riskiest assumption with real customers. Zirafah Zenith builds startup MVPs with a low-code and automation approach, using low-code platforms, workflow automation, and API integrations, so an idea can be tested in less time and at lower cost than full custom development. When the product needs custom code or a mobile app, we say so and build it that way.

Who it is for

Founders with a proven problem who are ready to put a product in front of the first customers, especially for B2B products, customer portals, internal tools, simple marketplaces, or workflow and approval-based services.

When low-code fits, and when it does not

How well a low-code approach fits different MVP needs
MVP needLow-codeFull custom code
Customer portal, forms, approval flows, dashboardsGood fitPossible, but slower and costlier for an MVP
Internal tools and process automationGood fitOften overkill
Integration with CRM, bookkeeping, and third-party servicesGood fit; feasibility checked in discoveryGood fit
Mass-market consumer app with high trafficUsually a poor fitBetter fit; see Mobile Apps
Highly bespoke UX or heavy real-time featuresLimitedBetter fit; see Software Development

If your needs fall in the last two rows, we will say so at the start and recommend custom code or a mobile app instead, rather than forcing one tool onto every case.

What we do

  • Map core features versus deferred ones, so the MVP is truly minimal.
  • Design the data model and user flows.
  • Build the application on a low-code platform: forms, portals, workflows, approvals, and dashboards.
  • Build automation and custom logic with the platform’s workflow and scripting tools.
  • Integrate the MVP with CRM, bookkeeping, and relevant third-party services, subject to technical feasibility.
  • Set up initial reporting so test results are readable.
  • Hand over documentation and training so you control the system.

What you walk away with

  • A working MVP that real customers can try.
  • Documentation of the data model, flows, and automations.
  • A basic dashboard to read usage and test results.
  • A list of what was deliberately deferred, as input for the next stage.

What is not included

  • Native mobile apps and mass-market products, which are scoped as separate engineering work.
  • Guarantees of scalability at a specific user volume.
  • Brand design. Launch marketing is covered separately.
How it works

From scope to a running MVP

A staged way of working.

01

Scope

Core features, the assumptions being tested, and MVP boundaries are agreed in writing.

02

Design

Data model, user flows, and integrations are designed and reviewed together.

03

Build & test

Built in small iterations and tested with real users.

04

Handover

Documentation, training, and a list of next steps are handed over.

What affects cost

The number of core features, user roles, integration complexity, data migration needs, and training. Development services in general are described on the Custom Development and Pricing pages.

Frequently asked questions

Can a low-code MVP be used by real customers?

Yes, especially for B2B products, customer portals, internal tools, and workflows built on forms and approvals. For mass-market consumer apps, fit needs to be evaluated up front.

How long does it take to build an MVP?

It depends on scope. We set a timeline after the core features are mapped and agreed, not before, and we do not promise a fixed duration.

Can we move to custom code later?

Yes. A tested data model and flows make a good specification for further development. Migration is still a separate piece of work that needs planning.

Who owns the system?

The system is built in an account you own on the platform we agree on together, so you control the account and its data. Ownership of the work product is agreed in writing before the project starts.

Can AI be used in the MVP?

Yes, for clear repetitive tasks such as classification, summarisation, or data entry, subject to technical feasibility. We will say so if AI is unnecessary or adds no value.
